Dear livejournal, this is the second night in a row of severe insomnia. Yesterday it took me 6 or 7 hours to get to sleep, tonight so far ive been tossing and turning for over 3 hours.... So i get up just now and im horrendously tired the moment i get out of bed. I am sooo freakin miserable i just want to freakin sleep. What gives, I don't usually have THIS much trouble sleeping.

Hey design nerds, does anyone know a good font management tool for windows? Preferably a free or eazy to hackz one?

Sometimes i don't really know how much i wanna talk about myself online. Sometimes i feel like i say too much, other times there is just so much i wanna say. What is this blog really for?

Well i guess i've unofficially began keeping a digital sketch book. I spent the whole holiday just doodling away on this thing, for me it's so much better than just a normal tablet. The driver problem i had earlier turned out to be very complicated and specific to my machine which is new so there isn't much documentation on it. So if you ever get one of the new fujitsu lifebooks, do not download the drivers off the american wacom site because for some stupid reason they aren't updated properly or are incomplete in some way. Better to download the european drivers. Yea i know this makes no sense....

I guess thats it for now. Wish i could post work related stuff T___T

Apparently my last comic earned me some flames, mostly on a forum apart from here.  It accordingly represented fat people as ugly and evil, and apparently my attempts to characterize a flattering dress and deal with rude line cutters makes me dellusional. Obviously my last comic was very literal and i was taking cheap shots and girlhemoths sensitive about their weights.

So I decided to appease all the haters and draw a comic about nice friendly fat people:

This weekend i hurt my neck pretty bad while i went to raging waters for a friends birthday. I felt i something in my neck tingle after one of the slides, but i just shrugged it off. Since this weekend every day my neck has gotten steadily worse, and this morning i could barely lift my head above my pillow to get up.

So today  i went to the chiropractor for the first time in my life, and after about 5 days of being bent out of shape and in pain, he fixed me in about 5 minutes. He told me i got minor whiplash and one of the discs slipped out of place a little bit causing the area to get inflamed and the muscles to tighten and get all hurty. So he cracked my back and neck like you wouldnt believe and since then i can at least move my neck freely, i still need to put ice on my neck for the next few days ....

Everything else is good. Work is going good, i was overwhelmed at first taking over my position, but it's settled down quite a bit and i must say so far this is the most stress free and fun job i've ever had, by a lot, "knocks on wood".  It's so nice not to work overtime T___T.  This isn't ultimately what i want to do, but it's a good day job. When i save up enough money i think mabye i'll start hurtin to fail at my own thing once again. Hope everyone is doing well.

P.S. Does anyone know a good pchat that isn't Nikos?

So i have no one to play brawl with, and i go online, and i wait and wait and wait and wait, and no one joins. Do online matches even happen? The thing that sucks about Wii's is i can't transfer some of my saves from Kiyoshi's Wii. So now i have to unlock mario crap and Smash Brothers again. Whiiii!

You know my xbox died like the day after i got my wii, which was also coincidentally the day after the original warranty expired. Fortunately Xbox covers red ring death for up to 3 years. Now if only i had more time to play games, i have a massive pile building up.

I got a new job at a small game company called TwoFish.They are working on a few projects i can't be specific about, it seemed pretty interesting though. I'll be doing art and design for their UI and websites. Hopefully it will be a better fit than advertising : P

That sure explains a lot. I've had it for a long while apparently. Only diagnosed finally because it has been getting worse. It was apparently  the  cause of my hospital visit back in august, just no one figured it out, they all thought it was my thyroid, until all the tests came back negative. They told me i was fine but the stupid doctors were wrong, on several occasions apparently. I've had some pretty obvious symptoms but i didn't know they were related to anything, and no one bothered to ask me.  My body isn't getting enough iron, which means i don't have enough blood, which means i don't have enough oxygen going through my body, which you could imagine could cause a host of problems which i associated with age or being out of shape. I eat the right kind of foods for iron, so now i have to build up on suppliments till they find a dosage which makes me feel normal, which apparently may take some time. There are many things that can cause this, so i guess they need to figure it out. Funny thing is i thought i was normal before i found this out, except for very recently, so i wonder just how long i've had this.

Anyways,
I suppose everything apart from this is fine lawl.
Oh yea, I still need a new job.

No i haven't lost my job. I am kinda wanting to work someplace else though, preferably not advertising.  Anyone have any leads?

I can't remember the last time i had to go to the ER for anything.  I mean i go to the doctors frequently for other problems, but nothing that freaked me out enough to go to the emergency room.

Since the day before yesterday i was having some sort of weird pain in my chest.  I was a bit tired but i just shucked it off.  It went away for a while but it came back yesterday, i felt so crappy i called my boyfriend to come pick me up from work in SF, and we drove home, it got better but after getting settled in it got much worse.  I looked it up online to see what it was, i didn't think it was too serious, but whenever i checked like web MD for chest pain symptoms it kept prompting me to call an ambulance.  Even when i tried to get more detailed with the symptom description. That was a little unsettling.  I was feeling much worse as time went by, so my boyfriend drove me to the hospital and it freaked me out even more because they checked me in right away.  They did an EKG to see if there were any problems and said that looked fine, so it couldn't be my heart (thank god) but then they took me to another room and made me remove all my clothes, put on this shitty gown that didn't cover up anything, put me in a bed, and i started to worry just a little bit.  The nurse was getting ready to do an IV drip, and i was like wtf is going on!  They ended up not doing that, but they ran a ton of other tests.

Anyways, long story short, because i don't want to worry anyone, is i had some thyroid problems, and that can cause the type of pain and fatigue i was experiencing.  It's not life threatening, so after a few more hours they sent me home after they finished all their tests.

It still hurts, and I'm still very tired. I'm going to follow up with my physician today to see what's up.

Finally the con is over.  We had decent sales, could have done better.  We spent most of the money we made at the con getting a bigger set up for next year (our table was very crowded).  I'd like to thank everyone who helped me get through what was probably one of the more stressfull weekends of my life.  Sorry if i was a grouch or ignored anyone, i think my people tollerance was beyond it's threshold most of the time.

The con season is over for me.  There won' be an LP3, at least not that i know of.  We will be announcing some slightly different projects later.

Anyways i go!
